ancient Greek History. The third episode is called “Crucible of
Civilization: Empire of the Mind.” In this episode, we see Pericles’
strategy for defeating the Spartans in the Peloponnesian War. Watch the section
from 17:14 - 24:46. Then write a detailed paragraph analyzing how Athens’ plan
unfolded. Post this paragraph to your blog by 11:59 pm tonight. This assignment
is worth 10 points.
Honors 202 will do this assignment:
Explain why you think Socrates, and Sophists like
Protagoras, would start questioning traditional beliefs at this particular
point in history. You may to refer to p. 138 in the textbook and/or watch the
section from 24:30 to 27:30 in the “Crucible of
Civilization: Empire of the Mind” video. Post your paragraph to your blog by 11:59 pm
tonight. This assignment is worth 10 points.
