Take another look at p. 136 from the textbook (posted
to my blog on March 16) and do #1, 2, and 3 below.
1)
Describe the kinds of dramas that were performed
in the theaters of ancient Greece.
2)
Answer ONE of the following (either a or b):
a.
If you were involved in either
of the John Carroll plays this year, or if you have ever been in another play,
dance recital, or musical performance, describe the ways that your production
resembled ancient Greek productions.
b.
OR… Describe the similarities
between an ancient Greek production and a film you have seen recently. The
Greek production – and the film – can be either a comedy or a tragedy.
3)
Find an online image of a theater from ancient
Greece, post it to your blog, and describe it in a few sentences.
Remember: do your own work, do good work, and let’s
learn a little something about Greek theater!
