We're all poets, but don't know it

The poet Alcaeus performs for the poet Sappho and her friends
Did you know that April is National Poetry Month? We are going to celebrate this occasion with this assignment. Today, write an original poem about any part of our studies of Greece. ANY part: gods and goddesses, philosophers, Draco, theater, the Peloponnesian War, democracy, Alexander, Bucephalus, architecture, Pericles, Hammurabi, Spartans – ANY aspect of ancient Greek life. Your poem can rhyme, or not; it can be blank verse, free verse, a Shakespearean sonnet, a Homeric epic narrative... your choice! The more creative you are, and the more fun you have with it, the better your grade. As always, post it before midnight tonight.
